KSFA Singles final match in Manoel Island

Great catches registered on the day .....

Manoel Island was once again chosen as the venue for the final match of the 2013 prestigious Kingfisher Sport Fishing Association Singles league.

Match started at 7.00am and immediately the day showed it was going to be tough with all pegs registering first catches in all their casts.

The match was also part of the 2013 National Federation League and KSFA members as usual showed their skill in mantaining top spots once again in the National League.

Anglers were split in 2 different sections for the KSFA league and a single section for the NFSAM match.

Good catches were being registered in both sections as a lot of parrot fish was biting and giving the athletes a good challenge in landing nice sized fish amongst the difficult bottom grounds in the area.

Also a lot of breams were biting and in some pegs it was clear evident that it was going to be a very nice match.

Infact biting never stopped in some areas and newcomer Dorian Formosa clinched his very first top medal with a nice catch of over 4kgs of mixed parrto and sea breams.

Second on the day placed the once again KSFA champion 2013 Darren Stafrace with 2.85kgs, while third place was won by Pierre Poulton registering a 2.65kgs of fish.

It was once again nice to see a near 100% catch and release of all the fish being caught on the day as the sea was really calm and enabled all anglers to use their keepnets for such reasons.

Adrian Nelson and Clayton Camilleri marshalled the match.

Darren Stafrace 2013 KSFA Singles champion ..... quite an achievement for his 2nd overall champion in 2 years

Dorian Formosa winning his very fisrt match for 2013 ...... well done boy
