John Attard & Sandro Cohen Win 2025's First Competition

    Yesterday morning we had our first competition for 2025 from this year's KSFA Tubertini Doubles League 2025.

In total 8 teams registered for this year's league. Yesterday's match was scheduled for Exiles Sliema but unfortunately due to bad weather we had to fish inside the Marsamxett harbour at Sliema. Competitors met at 6:00am and the pegs were drawn. 

Some new faces could be seen around for this year whilst other faces where sorely missed. At 7am the chief marshall signaled the start of the competition. In the first 30minutes it was already noted that it's going to be a difficult competition due to fish not biting apart from the team consisting of John Attard & Sandro Cohen that were drawn on Peg1. 

As time passed some anglers decided to start fast fishing for damsel fish whilst others tried their luck with mullet. At 11am the competition finished. Winners of this match were John Attard / Sandro Cohen who caught over 4kgs of fish. Second place was won by Clayton Camilleri & James Gilson whilst the final spot on the podium was won by Adrian Nelson & Jeanclaude Tonna.
