The 2014 Kingfisher Sport Fishing Association Singles League

Fortune Calafato started the year in full blast as he won the first singles match catching a nice 2.6kg of pajsan.

Fortune was also featured during the year in various Italian magazines .... He is presently sponsored by Angler Centre in Malta with the very lucrative brand of Colmic.

It was Sandro Zammit's turn in the second match held in Xemxija. He stole the show when cleverly netting a nice sized moray eel to win the match with 1.28kgs.

Sandro Zammit a.k.a il-Qamar is well known angler who just started the sportfishing some 2 years ago but he is well placing in all matches. He also won various matches and leagues together with his partner Brian Farrugia. 

Third match for the singles league was held in Sliema and was won by newcomer Josef Cassar.

Josef fished the whole match adopting to his uncle Freddie Cassar way of fishing the running ledger.

Pierre Poulton won the foutrh match in Birgu Toqba. Poulton has represented team Malta for float fishing in various years.

He is a veteran in Sportfishing on the island ........

It was Brian Farrugia who got the best throughout the Singles 2014 when he placed well in the last match in Xghajra and won his first major singles league
