Carmelo Quattrocchi is back

On the 17th of May the KSFA 2nd singles league competition was held, this time in at Pixkerija, in Valletta.

After the pegs were drawn and bait was distributed, the match started at 7am were anglers opted between paternoster rigs, running ledger and Bolognese fishing techniques.

Some anglers even tried to use the pole especially because small mullets were teasing some of the competitors, although very few of these were landed.

This venue is always one which test anglers abilities to the limits as it is always a tough achievement to land over one kilo of mixed bottom fish.

This time it was a comeback by Carmelo Quattrocchi landing 1.52 kilos, which took the first position on the day.

He was followed by Darren Stafrace netting 1.17 kilos, both sponsored by Tubertini, and in 3rd position Clayton Camilleri with 1.10 kilos.

Section winners being Kurt Poulton, Adrian nelson and Jonathan Vella.

Vouchers and medals were presented to the winning participants after the match, together with a reel kindly provided by Tubertini which was won by Kurt Poulton from the raffle held.

KSFA would also like to thank General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd for providing all competitors with beverages for the remaining fishing events of the year.

The next match shall be held on the 7th of June.
